According to Mike Straw from the Insider Gaming podcast, Half-Life is going to be a Steam Machine launch title.

We still don’t know the exact release date or pricing for the Steam Machine, but Valve is eyeing Q1/Q2 2026 for their next-gen hardware.

It was also reported that currently, Valve is pretty busy dealing with the Steam Machine’s pricing dilemma due to the RAM crisis.

Half-Life 3…] will be a launch title with the Steam Machine. There is a Concern, However, that they haven’t made a deicison on price, which is kind of holding back the announcement of anything else […] because of PC RAM prices.

The dwindling RAM stocks can actually bump up the pricing even more and this will impact the Steam Machine heavily.

With this, it can cause a delay to the console release as well as the delay for Half-Life 3 launch. Previous leaks and reports already suggested that the game was in the final development stages with a Semi-open world and revolutionary physics.
