The fans have finally seen the Gigantamax Pokemon who have arrived in the Pokemon GO game. They have unique appearances with special moves and they are bigger than your average Pokemon.

How to get Gigantamax Pokemon?

Now getting this new breed of Pokemon is not that easy, however by following these easy steps, you can catch them in Pokemon GO:

  • First, you have to find a power spot on your map where Gigantamax Pokemon appears. These are the special occasions that host Max Battles and this is where you will find the Gigantamax Pokemon.
  • Another important point to note is that you need a team to catch the Gigantamax Pokemon. They are really difficult to deal with so make sure to have at least 30 players.
  • Having 800 Max Particles and a Gigantamax or Dynamax Pokemon is a must before you begin your hunt for Gigantamax Pokemon.

Gigantamax Pokemon are really gigantic and unique equipped with special moves. What makes them different from Dynamax Pokemon is the ability to use the G-Max moves. Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise are some of the Gigantamax versions that are available in the game right now.

Three special max moves:

  • G-Max Move: The trademark attack of each Gigantamax species. For example:
  • Gigantamax Venusaur’s Vine Lash
  • Gigantamax Charizard, G-Max Wildfire
  • Gigantamax Blastoise: G-Max Cannonade.
  • Max Guard is a defensive maneuver that minimizes damage from the Power. Spot Boss: Max Spirit, a support move that heals both Pokemon and allies.

Toxtricity will be the last Gigantamax Pokemon to appear until November 2024, at the Go Wild Area Global event. Make sure you’re ready for it in Pokemon GO.
