Understanding the new ranked mode

The new multiplayer online heroes shooting-based game by Valve, Deadlock has become quite famous and trendy among gamers.

How the rank system works and all Deadlock ranks?

To unlock the new Deadlock ranked mode, you first need to play at least 50 regular games. Then, the players have to pick the timeframe to play ranked from the set schedule available in the game.

For now, there is no information on a special ruleset for ranked and the players need to minimum of seven ranked games in order to qualify for ranking.

There are a total of 12 ranks in the game and everyone starts from the first one which is called Obscurus. Keep in mind that you have to play a specific number of matches every week or you will be sent back.

Here are the 12 ranks:

  • Obscurus
  • Initiate
  • Seeker
  • Alchemist
  • Arcanist
  • Ritualist
  • Emissary
  • Archon
  • Oracle
  • Phantom
  • Ascendant
  • Eternus

Every rank in the game also has different subranks of  I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. The designs for every ranked badge will be revealed on October 22, 2024.

Know more about the game

Deadlock is a 6v6 MOBA third-person shooting game developed by Valve. In the game, players control the powerful heroes and escort the NPCs down several lanes to destroy the enemy team’s stationary defenses.

This makes the gameplay quite comparable to MOBAs. If the enemy’s fortifications are broken, it unveils their “Patron”, a massive magically animated golem that must be defeated to win the match.

Furthermore, players can unlock abilities and various skills of heroes which is quite similar to Valorant. You can also use the ziplines to navigate the area and maps.

For now, there are 21 different heroes and this will change with the new updates in the future. This game takes place in an alternate version of New York City called the Cursed Apple.
