Nerfs and Buffs in Marvel Rivals season 1
- Balance the Meta: To counter the existing dominant shield-and-ranged hero combos, modifications are being made.
- Nerfs: Hawkeye and Hela lose dominance, allowing other Duelists to shine. Jeff the Land Shark’s Ultimate detection range has been fine-tuned for greater gaming feedback.
- Buffs: Mobile Vanguards such as Captain America and Venom receive upgrades to strengthen their frontline responsibilities. Wolverine and Storm will play key roles in specific strategies, while Cloak and Dagger will gain adaptability.
There are already some leaks related to the new changes. Nothing is official yet, but the announcement will arrive very soon. Here is the information based on leaks:
- Hela from 275 HP to 250 HP, faster damage fall off, same damage.
- Hawkeye slower focus charge rate, at around 2.5 seconds for a max charge, same damage.
- Storm faster fire rates and more damage. (or longer damage fall off not sure)
- Venom right-click slows significantly more.
- Wolverine has 350 health now.
- Both the Hela and Hawkeye season bonuses are 15% Damage Boost, not 20% now.
Pick rates, win rates & ranked adjustments in Marvel Rivals season 1
- Stats Insight: At the end of Season Zero, detailed pick and win rates will be published, segmented by rank in Competitive mode, providing clearer strategic insights.
- Ranked Reset: Competitive players will begin Season 1 with a seven-division rank demotion (for example, Platinum 1 to Silver 2).
- New Rank: Above Grandmaster, the Celestial tier is introduced, allowing players to advance through three divisions in Marvel Rivals season 1.
Personally, I am very excited for Marvel Rivals season 1 and can’t wait to get my hands on Invisible Woman with her new skin. I know I am not the only one who is eager to play her in the match.
