The Hood will join the roster very soon!
The fans and players are pretty excited for Marvel Rivals Season 9.5, which is expected to arrive next month. The main reason? The addition of a new character, The Hood, which is reportedly joining the roster as a Vanguard.

According to the official roadmap, Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 will arrive on August 7, 2026. This new mid-season update will bring a new hero, a new balance patch, cosmetics and more.
Season 9 already arrived with the biggest update that introduced a new overhaul of team-ups and Black Widow rework, which completely changed the game.
Now, based on the previous updates, the new Season 9.5 is expected to go live at 3:00 AM PT on August 7. Here are the expected timings based on different regions:

What to expect?
For now, NetEase is dropping a new map, which will arrive on July 24, 2026. There are also new cosmetics and events on the way, & also donât forget about the new PvE mode: Path to Doomsday on July 31, 2026.
After that, The Hood will join the roster in Season 9.5 and we will get a balance patch, new cosmetics, events and a new possible roadmap.
