This flaming Kusarigama weapon is a menace
We are just two months away from Ghost of Yotei launch on PS5 and Sucker Punch Studios has dropped the Kusarigama weapon gameplay for the fans.
Atsu was seen swinging and killing her enemies with the chain-sickle type weapon. You can also ignite this weapon with flames.
Kusarigama: A Weapon for Every Scenario
The new Ghost of Yotei gameplay revealed the new weapon, which will be added to this franchise. It is a Kusarigama, which is a traditional Japanese weapon.
This weapon is a deadly combo of a sharp sickle and a weighted chain (fundo). The best part is that this is not only very good in close range, but you can also use it in the mid-range as well.
Consider tugging an enemy toward you with the chain, then executing a quick, fatal neck slice. Alternatively, roll through a falling opponent for a slick, one-motion execution. Itâs perfect for dealing with crowds, allowing Atsu to eliminate several threats without breaking a sweat.
Thatâs what we saw in the new gameplay, where we can see Atsu just dominating her enemies with this weapon.
Itâs fast, mobile and deadly. You can also mix it with the longbows to get some long-range kills.

Ignite your enemies with flames
Just like Ghost of Tsushima, where we had the âWay of the Flameâ, where you can ignite your sword with flames.
This time, you can ignite your Kusarigama weapon. We donât know whether this will apply to every weapon or not, but it will work on the Kusarigama along with flaming arrows.
This is a game-changer against groups, since a single sweeping strike can set an entire squad on fire. Furthermore, it is extremely efficient against defensesâwooden shields are no match as they burn and collapse, leaving foes vulnerable.
With the weaponâs range, this scorching feature transforms Atsu into a one-woman firestorm, ideal for high-stakes engagements.
So far, all the visuals and Ghost of Yotei gameplay look amazing and we canât wait for what Sucker Punch Studios has stored for us.
