One of the main highlights of Gamescom 2025 opening night live was surely the new Resident Evil Requiem gameplay trailer, which was revealed by Capcom.

This will be the ninth main entry to the franchise and fans are beyond excited for this. In the trailer and gameplay, fans saw Grace Ashcroft and Alyssa Ashcroft. Let’s check out more details in this article.

The leaks have already told us that there will be three playable characters in this game. We know that Grace Ashcroft is the main protagonist.

Now, the new gameplay trailer also revealed her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft. In the trailer, we could see Grace working on his laptop, while her mother is talking to her.

Then they get a phone call, Grace picks up, the caller asks whether it is Ashcroft and then cuts it. Suddenly, we see the power cut and Alyssa asks Grace to pack up everything as they will leave the place as soon as possible.

When they get down, the manager confronts them about the power, but then gets strangled to death by a man, who appears to be after the Ashcroft family.

We saw them both trying to escape from the man and Alyssa expressing her love to her daughter. The Resident Evil Requiem gameplay trailer ends with a cliffhanger. It appears that the man gets his hands on Alyssa and her fate is sealed.

That’s how the main trailer of the game showed us Grace Ashcroft researching her mother’s death and heading back to the abandoned hotel alone to investigate her mother’s mysterious death.

The new Resident Evil Requiem gameplay trailer was amazing. The graphics and visuals look pretty good and we also saw a little first-person gameplay.

The hooded man, who appears to be a villain, is a mystery for now, but I am pretty excited to know more about the story.
