Along with the Mario Kart World bundle, it will cost around $499. This was announced by the official Nintendo Blog on April 17, 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 US pricing details, pre-orders and accessories

The pre-orders are all set to open up in the US on April 24, 2025, ahead of the console’s launch on June 5, 2025.

Despite the tension and fears due to price hikes due to tariffs, Nintendo has assured the fans that the price will remain the same for the console.

However, a Nintendo Blog article stated that, while the system pricing is fixed, accessories may experience price revisions following the original April 2 announcement.

With future changes conceivable depending on market conditions. Here is the updated pricing for Switch 2 and accessories:

Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle$499.99
Mario Kart World$79.99

Bill Trinen, Nintendo’s VP of Player & Product Experience, recently discussed the console’s price, noting inflation and the increased cost of modern technologies.

“We’re living in an era where inflation is affecting everything… as you add more technology into a system, especially in this day and age, that drives additional cost,” Trinen said to Insider Gaming.

He also mentioned that smart gadgets have become more expensive since the mid-2000s, which explains the Switch 2’s $150 price rise over the original Switch’s $299 retail price in 2017.

For those who are concerned about the expense, Nintendo has jokingly suggested staying with the original Switch, which will continue to receive support for the foreseeable future.
