In Path of Exile 2, character advancement rests on the allocation of Passive Ability points which you acquire with each level up. However, it isn’t as simple as you think.

Many people place their points delicately after a lot of thinking and if you are thinking about tweaking your character more, here’s how you can respec those points.

Unlocking the respec feature

In the initial stages of the game, players will not have the option to respec the passive abilities. First, you have to progress through the main story, complete several missions and gain some levels before you can unlock this in Path of Exile 2.

• Find The Hooded One: This process starts with the quest “The Mysterious Shade” in the Clearfell Encampment. Players have to work with Una to save the hooded one. He is depicted as a person hanging from a tree. Just simply destroy the runes on the tree to free him.
• Post-Quest Interaction: After completing the quest, head towards Finn’s tent in the Clearfell Encampment where The Hooded One now resides. When you speak with this NPC, you will get the option to “Refund Passives”.

Refunding your points

The main thing here to note is that respecing isn’t free; it requires gold. The amount of gold required depends on how many points you’re refunding, but if you’ve been careful with your purchases, this should not be too expensive.

It is suggested by main experts RPG players that you must first respec your abilities as often as you like. Try to experiment more with your build. This flexibility is key to finding the perfect setup for your play style.
