Persona 4 Revival in-game cutscenes will be animated by studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen & Chainsaw Man

Atlus has provided plenty of news and information about their upcoming remake game at Anime Expo 2026, Persona 4 Revival, which is all set to launch on February 18, 2026.
A brand new character trailer was revealed; they also confirmed the actress for Rise Kujikawa and revealed that all the in-game animated cutscenes will be animated by MAPPA, a studio known for Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man.
MAPPA is creating Persona 4 Revival in-game cutscenes
The renowned Japanese animation studio, MAPPA, which is known for its work like Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack On Titan The Last Part, Chainsaw Man, etc, will be producing the brand-new anime cutscenes that will be featured in the game.
During the panel at Anime Expo 2026, Atlus also showed some preview animated scenes, which show the protagonist, Yosuke, and Teddie encountering Shadows and awakening their Personas for the first time.
Mappa is known for its quality and top-notch animation. You can expect the in-game cutscenes to be of top quality.

Rise Kujikawa gets a new trailer & voice actress
Another big reveal was the new trailer focused on Rise Kujikawa. Atlus has also confirmed that Abby Trott will be voicing the character for the English version.
In the trailer, fans can also see the new improved visuals, character models, and environments, which were specially built for this remake.
Persona 4 anime is now free to watch
Atlus has also announced that Persona 4: The Animation and Persona 4: The Golden Animation are beign re-released for free on Aniplex USA’s YouTube channel.
These episodes are going to premiere between July 4 and August 19. Persona 4 Revival is officially set to release on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
