Rainbow Six Siege new attacker: Rauora abilities & gameplay impact

During the Rainbow Six Siege Six Invitational 2025, Ubisoft officially revealed the new operator, Rauora who will join the ranks of attackers.

She will bring a fresh dynamic in the attacking position with her innovative gear and abilities which will make her a formidable member of the team. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Introducing Rauora

She is equipped with either a marksman rifle or the M249 light machine gun for primary arms. Her secondary weapon is the Reaper MK2 machine pistol.

She is very lethal and precise in close combat with the red dot sight and extended magazine. Additionally, she can choose either smoke grenades or breach charges depending on the strategies.

Game-Changing D.O.M. launcher

The most defying feature of her arsenal is the Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.) launcher. This is a device that allows her to deploy bulletproof barriers over doorways. This will help in controlling the flow of the combat by blocking or redirecting enemy movements.

The D.O.M. system is more than simply a defensive tool; it has a unique function in which it lifts briefly to allow ally drones to pass through before closing again.

To unlock these barriers, players can shoot a rectangular trigger located at the top. Initially, only attackers can unlock the barrier, giving them a temporary tactical edge. However, these barriers are not impenetrable; bombs can destroy them, and certain operator gadgets, such as Tubarao’s Zoto Canister or Jager’s ADS, can impair their effectiveness if used correctly.

Gameplay Implications

The new attacker addition will now surely impact and add more team strategies to the game. Players who love to control the battlefield layout and close combat will find Rauora their new favorite in Rainbow Six Siege.

Along with this, Ubisoft has also announced, “Siege X” which will improve and evolve the Rainbow Six Siege for the next 10 years. This will be premiered worldwide on March 13, 2025.
