Rebel Wolves newest RPG

Rebel Wolves, a studio formed by ex-CD Projekt RED developers have revealed their newest RPG game, “The Blood of Dawnwalker.” The cinematic trailer along with a little gameplay scenes was actually loved by the fans a lot. For many, this reminded of them the Witcher Game with a new story and lore.

Now many would have already to think about how powerful the main protagonist would be here as he reminded them of Geralt from Witcher. However, the Game Director has provided some information about him. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Not an overpowered hero!

According to MP1st, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, CEO and game director of Rebel Wolves, stated in a recent Twitch stream that Coen will neither embody “superhero” attributes or be “overpowered.”

This is what he said, “What I love in Coen is that he’ll never be a superhero. He’ll never be overpowered. During the day, as a human, he can fight with a sword. He can use and discover dark magic, but he can be killed by anyone.”

This approach taken by them truly makes Coen different many other main characters from the RPG games. Unlike the seasoned and experienced warrior Geralt, Coen is more like a fresh newbie who is just starting his adventure.

Konrad further added, “He’s not a grizzled veteran who’s seen it all, who is cynical about the world, who comments on the world with, like, one-liners. He’s a young guy who, at heart, is emotional; he can get vulnerable, and he’s honest about how he feels.“

Personally, I loved this approach as zero to hero feels more realistic and enjoyable. It is also a very good writing in terms of storytelling as well or The Blood of Dawnwalker would feel boring.

Even in any manga, comics or films, most of the times the hero is very weak and humane at the start. His progress throughout the story is what makes it exceptional and I hope this would be the same case with this game as well.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated to release on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. More new gameplay will be revealed in Summer 2025 and we might also get a possible release date as well.
