Sony's September state of play to feature Horizon Zero Dawn remastered & more

Sony has just revealed the most-awaited PS5 Pro and now the rumors around the State of Play going to happen next week are pretty strong. It is expected that they will announce some new games along with Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

Jeff Grubb disclosed the information during Giant Bomb’s Game Mess Mornings on YouTube. He talked about Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and how it could be revealed on the next PlayStation State of Play on September 24, 2024.

State of Play

Since May, we have heard rumors about the Playstation SOP, but now many sources and reports are claiming that it might finally happen on September 24, 2024. 

The previous SOP was held in May where they revealed games like Dynasty Warriors Origins, Monster Hunter Wilds, Astro Bot, Concord and the PC version of God of War Ragnarök.

There are also some upcoming PlayStation games like Lego Horizons which are scheduled for mid-November while Bungie’s Marathon is scheduled for 2025.

• Ghost of Tsushima 2
• Venom standalone game
• Naughty Dog new IP game
• Wolverine gameplay
• Spider-Man 2 DLC
• Death Stranding 2
• Whatever Cory Barlog is cooking
• Bend Studio new IP
• Housemarque game

Do note that these are all rumors and nothing is officially confirmed by Sony.

PS5 Pro announcement

Sony has also revealed their brand new console, the PS5 Pro, which is going to cost $699.99. It will officially launch on November 7, 2024.

You can pre-order the PS5 Pro from September 26, 2024. The console has an upgraded GPU and will provide 45% faster rendering than PS5. More advanced ray tracing and a new AI-driven upscaling provide super-sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail.
