CD Projekt RED has now officially confirmed that The Witcher 3 Songs of the Past DLC is going to make its first appearance at the Opening Night Live event at Gamescom 2026.

First official look at Gamescom 2026
Since the announcement of the DLC, fans have been waiting for the first official look and gameplay for the upcoming last expansion. Now, CD Projekt RED has finally confirmed that this DLC will be revealed at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event on August 25, 2026, at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET / 8 pm CEST.
For now, the developers have not revealed what they plan to showcase during the reveal.
It could be a cinematic teaser, gameplay footage, in-game cinematics, or even the long-awaited release date for the DLC.
The Witcher 3 Songs of the Past DLC is scheduled to launch in 2027, so fans are expecting to get a specific release date for the expansion as well at the official reveal.

The developers have already confirmed that The Witcher 3 Songs of the Past DLC is a full-fledged expansion. This is pretty much similar in size and ambition to the Blood and Wine DLC.
