Gamers and fans are pretty excited for the Gamescom 2025, which is almost here and is going to showcase some exciting reveals and hands-on experience of the upcoming games.

Replacing the defunct E3, this yearly expo in Cologne, Germany, is the place to go for the latest gaming news, and this year promises to be big. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Main highlights of Gamescom 2025

The Gamescom Opening Night Live, which begins on August 19 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. BST, will include trailers, exclusive first peeks, and special guests.

The first world reveal of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will be showcased along with World of Warcraft: Midnight, and gameplay footage from Resident Evil Requiem. Lords of the Fallen 2 first reveal will also be shown at the opening night.

There are going to be over 1500 exhibitors and fans can experience the playable demo of games like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Crimson Desert, Phantom Blade Zero, Onimusha and many more.

Many major gaming publishers like Konami (Silent Hill F and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater), Ubisoft, and Capcom will showcase their latest upcoming projects and titles.

Nintendo will also be back and you can expect to see some Switch 2 games as well. EA FC 26 will be playable at Gamescom 2025.

The opening night live is not the only event that fans are going to see. There will be Future Games Show, Xbox, and Bethesda, which will host shows and reveals.

Xbox’s broadcasts on August 20 and 21 will include Black Ops 7, Grounded 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, and The Outer Worlds 2.
