Variety reported on January 30, 2025, that the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 live-action film is a collaboration between Sandfall Interactive and Story Kitchen.

This is a studio best known for its work on the Sonic the Hedgehog series and Tomb Raider adaptations for Netflix and Amazon MGM Studios.

Its founders, Dmitri M. Johnson and Mike Goldberg, expressed their views about the live action, stating:

“We’re thrilled to bring the immersive world of Expedition 33 to the big screen. Its compelling narrative and complex characters are a perfect foundation for a cinematic experience that will captivate both gamers and moviegoers.”

Currently, the casting and search for the director are underway. However, fans have already decided who should be the perfect choice for Gustave.

Although Sandfall Interactive has not commented yet, however, fans can already speculate that the character Gustave looks pretty similar to Robert Pattinson.

After hearing about the live action, talk about him playing the role of Gustave among the fans has already spread on the internet.

Also in the game, Charlie Cox (The Daredevil) has officially voiced Gustave and he has done an amazing job as his first video game voice acting.

Fans won’t mind him playing the role of Gustave as well, as he is an amazing actor and very renowned for his Daredevil work.

It would be amazing if they would be able to cast any one of them for the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 live-action movie.
