A stellar year awaits for Game Pass subscribers
For the Xbox Game Pass subscribers, this year is shaping up to be one of the best so far. On February 25, 2025, Microsoft released a big update during the ID@Xbox Showcase at IGN Fan Fest, revealing 11 day-one releases for the service throughout the year.
From indie treasures to sequels, this roster has something for everyone, and it’s a major showcase for PS Plus. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Fresh Day-One games for Xbox Game Pass
Following the hits of Avowed, Eternal Strands and Sniper Elite: Resistance, it appears that the Xbox Game Pass isn’t slowing down. Although, some new titles didn’t make it, however, there are more new and exciting titles that will soon release on day one.
- Balatro – Out now (Cloud, Console, PC)
- 33 Immortals – March 18 (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Descenders Next – April 9 (Console, PC)
- Blue Prince – April 10 (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Tempopo – April 17 (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Revenge of the Savage Planet – May 8 (Consoles)
- Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault – 2025 (Consoles, PC)
- Tanuki: Pon’s Summer – Late 2025 (Consoles, PC)
- Buckshot Roulette – Coming soon (Consoles, PC)

Balatro’s brilliant poker-roguelike is already available, and Buckshot Roulette’s scary shotgun twist will soon make its way from Steam to Xbox. Tanuki: Pon’s Summer has captured hearts with its adorable mail-delivering raccoon, and Moonlighter 2 promises more shopkeeping adventure.
33 Immortals and Revenge of the Savage Planet introduce co-op mayhem and sci-fi flair, respectively. Descenders Next and Tempopo keep the indie atmosphere alive. These games also join the Watch Dogs: Legion which is added on February 25, 2025.
Blue Prince, announced as a PS Plus day-one exclusive during Sony’s February State of Play, will also be available on Game Pass on April 10. I think the only big loss for the Xbox Game Pass is not having Monster Hunter Wilds on day one launch or it would have been massive for the Xbox.
