This is the first-ever edition of the Women’s World Cup.

As the world eagerly anticipates this historic sporting event, 16 men’s and women’s teams hailing from various corners of the globe are set to compete fiercely for the prestigious title of being crowned the first-ever Hockey5s World Champions. Both the Men’s and Women’s World Cups will be held in Muscat, Oman between January 24 and 31. The FIH Hockey5s Women’s World Cup 2024 will get underway from January 24 and will finish on January 27.

The Women’s FIH Hockey5s World Cup 2024 is the first-ever edition of the tournament, the quadrennial world championship for women’s national hockey5s teams organized by the FIH. It will be held from 24 to 27 January, in Muscat, Oman.

Groups and Format

The Women’s FIH Hockey5s World Cup 2024 have 16 teams divided into four groups of four teams each. Each team will play one match each against the other three teams in their respective groups. The top two from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.

The Indian women’s hockey5s team are in Group C with Namibia, Poland, and the United States and are expected to top the group. India will begin their campaign against Poland on January 24.
