Men's FIH Pro League 2024-25: Schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Defending champions Australia and the Netherlands have won two titles each.

It seems like just yesterday the FIH Pro League was announced. As of today, we are already into the tournament’s sixth edition. The Men’s FIH Pro League 2024-25 began on 30 November 2024, with the Netherlands taking on Germany in Amsterdam and concludes on 29 June 2025, when Germany plays Spain in Berlin.

Nine teams are participating in the tournament: England, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Argentina, Spain, India, Australia and Ireland (who came in after New Zealand withdrew). Nine venues across four continents will host a total of 72 matches.

India will start their campaign from 15th February, against Spain at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium. They will play a total of eight matches in Bhubaneswar city before leaving for their Europe tour in June.

The league presents an exciting opportunity for players to test themselves against the best teams in the world and fans, to enjoy some high-quality hockey action.

With several coaches having shown a tendency to test their bench strength in the tournament, in the previous seasons, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) decided to incentivize it by declaring that the winners of the 2023-24 and 2024-25 editions will secure a direct spot in the FIH World Cup 2026.

What is the format of the tournament?

Nine teams will face each other in the round-robin tournament to be held between November and June on home soil, away or neutral games (clustered caravan format). The team finishing at the top of the table after the conclusion of all games will be awarded the trophy.

The bottom-placed team will face relegation and will be replaced by the Men’s FIH Nations Cup winner, who will compete in the next edition.

The champion will also earn direct qualification for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. The Netherlands and Belgium have already qualified for the quadrennial tournament as hosts of the competition. Australia ensured a spot for themselves by emerging victorious in the previous edition of the Pro League.
