The Men’s FIH Pro League will run from November 30 to June 29.
It seems like just yesterday the Men’s FIH Pro League was announced. We are already into the tournament’s sixth edition. The Men’s FIH Pro League 2024-25 began on November 30, with the Netherlands taking on Germany and will conclude on June 29, when Germany plays Spain in Berlin.
Nine teams are participating in the tournament—England, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Argentina, Spain, India, Australia and Ireland (who came in after New Zealand withdrew). Nine venues across four continents will host a total of 72 matches, with the tournament following the round robin format.

The competition follows the home and away principle but is divided into date blocks. For ease of logistics, multiple teams assemble at one location, with each side playing two matches against the other. The team finishing at the top of the table after the conclusion of all games will be awarded the trophy.
The bottom-placed team will face relegation and will be replaced by the Men’s FIH Nations Cup winner, who will compete in the next edition. The champion will also earn direct qualification for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. The Netherlands and Belgium have already qualified for the quadrennial tournament as hosts of the competition.
Australia ensured a spot for themselves by emerging victorious in the previous edition of the Pro League.
