Women's Hockey India League 2025: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Delhi SG Pipers will face Odisha Warriors in the opening match of the Women’s Hockey India League 2025.
The women’s league will start for the first time in Hockey India League. Only cricket as of now has a women’s league which is WPL (Women’s Premier League). We had the Women’s Kabaddi Challenge but it was unfortunately defunct. The women’s league will run simultaneously with the men’s league.
The inaugural edition of the Women’s Hockey India League will kick off on January 12 and end on January 26, 2025. The tournament will be held at two different venues— Rourkela and the Jaipal Singh Stadium, Ranchi, and Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, Rourkela. Most of the matches of the women’s tournament will be held in Ranchi.
Currently, there are four teams but two more teams will be added next year. The owners of these two teams are Resolute Sports and BC Jindal Group.

When and where will Women’s Hockey India League take place (Venue)?
The Women’s Hockey India League will begin on January 12 and end on January 26, 2025, at the Rourkela and the Jaipal Singh Stadium, Ranchi and Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, Rourkela.
Hockey India League Teams and Owners
There are four teams in the first season of the Hockey India League. The names of the teams are:
- Delhi SG Pipers (SG Sports)
- Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers (Shrachi Sports)
- Soorma Hockey Club (JSW Group)
- Odisha Warriors (Navoyam Sports Ventures)
What is the tournament format of Hockey India League?
The Women’s Hockey India League will be in a double round-robin knockout format. Each team will play each other twice in the league stage. The top two teams will qualify for the finals which will be held on 26 January 2025.

Women’s Hockey India League full squads
Teams have a maximum of 24 players, which include 16 Indian and eight foreign players. The playing XI combination consists of at least two Overseas players and at max five overseas players. You can check the full squad of teams here.

Where and how to watch live telecast and live streaming of Women’s Hockey India League 2025?
The live telecast of the Women’s Hockey India League will be on DD Sports. Sony Sports Network has also taken the broadcasting rights of the league. So, Sony Sports 1,3 and 4 will also broadcast the matches. Fans can watch the live streaming on the Sony Liv and Waves OTT platforms.
