PKL 9: U Mumba will enter top three with win against Telugu Titans

U Mumba ends the second leg of the season inside the playoffs spot and looks set to qualify for the knockout phases. U Mumba has got one of the best defensive units with the team majorly operating with five defenders and two raiders formula in the playing 7. Guman Singh had an off game against Jaipur Pink Panthers in the last encounter and looks set to dominate the raiding unit in the Hyderabad leg. U Mumba will next play Telugu Titans in their next PKL 9 game.

Telugu Titans after the loss to Bengal Warriors has mathematically ended their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs spot (top 6). The southern team would now like to sign off this season giving fans some joy and also testing out the unknown players present in the rank.

Player to watch

Guman Singh shall be the player to watch from U Mumba. Anil CHapran in the recent few games has always fielded two raiders and five defenders in the playing 7 and has seen some success with that formula. For this to work again Guman has to keep performing against all the teams and against the improving Telugu Titans as well.

Parvesh Bainswal has scored his third high 5 of Pro Kabaddi season 9 and Siddharth Desai has been the consistent performing player. In the last encounter against Bengal Warriors, he waited patiently for the Bengal raiders to come in and then attack which he would fail to do before.

Key to Success

Having won only a single game to date, the defensive unit needs to step up as soon as possible for the franchise to win the second game. Vishal Bharadwaj needs to understand the situation and then go for the tackle rather than going single-handedly and putting an unsuccessful one.
