Amit Hooda Shines as Dabang Delhi K.C. Defeat U Mumba to Keep Playoffs Hopes Alive

The Dabang Delhi K.C. produced a brilliant performance to defeat U Mumba 41-24 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday. With the victory, the Dabang Delhi K.C. kept their Playoffs hopes alive in the vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 9.

Defender Amit Hooda emerged as the best player for the Delhi side with 7 tackle points on the night.

The Dabang Delhi K.C. pulled off an ALL OUT in the 5th minute and took a massive lead at 10-3. Vijay Malik effected a raid and Amit Hooda tackled Guman Singh soon after as the Delhi side continued to extend their lead. U Mumba's Mohit carried out a SUPER TACKLE on Naveen Kumar in the 12th minute, but the Delhi side still held a comfortable lead at 17-6. Ashu Malik picked up a couple of raid points as the team from the capital city completely dominated the match at 21-9 in the 18th minute. However, Harendra Kumar and Amit Hooda effected tackles and kept the Mumbai side in the game at 14-22 at the end of the first half.

Rahul Sethpal carried out a fantastic tackle on Ashu Malik in the opening minutes of the second half, but Amit Hooda tackled Guman Singh soon after to help Delhi stay in the lead at 23-17 in the 25th minute. The Dabang Delhi K.C. defense unit continued to showcase stupendous form as its team led at 25-18 in the 29th minute. 

The Mumbai side tackled Malik in the 33rd minute, but Dabang Delhi K.C. kept their noses in front at 27-21. However, Jai Bhagwan caught out Krishan moments later as U Mumba kept chipping away at the lead. But Delhi pulled off two SUPER TACKLES in the quick succession in the last few minutes of the match and earned a massive lead at 32-23. The Dabang Delhi K.C. rode on the momentum and inflicted an ALL OUT in the 39th minute. Malik treaded carefully on the last raid of the match and closed out a comprehensive victory for Delhi in the end.

Parteek Dahiya's 17-Point Game Powers Giants to Huge Win Over Telugu Titans, Keeps Them in Contention for Playoffs 

The Gujarat Giants registered a hugely valuable 44-30 win over the Telugu Titans at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday to stay in contention for the vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 Playoffs. Parteek Dahiya (17 points) and Dong Geon (9 points) emerged as the stars for the Giants on the night.

The Giants needed a win to stay in contention for the playoffs and they kicked off with a series of raid points. The Giants' raider duo of Parteek Dahiya and Dong Geon kept the scoreboard rolling regularly to ensure they constantly stayed in the lead. They inflicted the first ALL OUT on the Titans within the first 10 minutes, to take a 13-4 lead.

The Titans clawed their way back into the game, and with nothing to play for, constantly nibbling away at the Giants defence. They even came close to getting an all out of their own, a SUPER TACKLE by Dong Geon on K Hanumanthu ensuring the Giants didn't leak too many points. However, Dahiya's raiding remained a constant threat, enough to keep the Giants safe as they went into halftime leading 21-12. Despite having nothing to play for, the Titans roared back in the second half, inflicting an ALL OUT of their own, to cut the lead down to six. Almost immediately though the Giants hit back. A SUPER RAID by Dahiya put the Giants firmly back in control again. That raid propelled another period of dominance for the Giants who inflicted a second ALL OUT soon after. Dahiya remained the Giants' chief threat, and with ten minutes still remaining had already amassed 17 points in the game. With the Titans closing in on yet another all out it took a pair of SUPER TACKLES by Parvesh Bhainswal to keep the Titans in the game. However, it was too big a mountain to climb for the Titans as the Giants closed out a crucial victory in the end.
