Kabaddi: Bangabandhu Cup 2023 to kick off from March 11

India will not take part in the tournament.
The third edition of the Bangabandhu International Kabaddi Cup 2023 is set to start on 11 March in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A total of 12 teams across several continents (Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America) are set to participate in the tournament. Two Kabaddi heavyweight nations Iran (2018 Asian Games gold medallist) and India will not be taking part in this edition.
The first edition of the Bangabandhu Cup was held way back in 2013 with the second edition held in 2021. The host Bangladesh emerged victorious in both editions and will be eyeing a hat trick title and are the favourites going into the tournament.
