With the power in the mat and mastermind in the back room, they will be a force to reckon. The season 2 champions will be eager to show their prowess in their opening encounter against UP Yoddhas.

Pardeep Narwal might have lost his place in the Indian team but he certainly has got the backing of UP Yoddhas as they retained him ahead of PKL 10. The Yoddhas have not only got the raider with the most points in PKL history but also the only defender to score 100+ tackle points in a season. In Nitesh Kumar, they have got a solid leader and reliable right corner. With the retentions of Sumit, Surender Gill, and Ashu Singh the Yoddhas have ensured a settled unit in place. They also got the prize catch of all-rounder Vijay Malik who adds a new dimension to the squad.

UP Yoddhas have been the most consistent of the four new sides that got introduced into the league in 2017. The Jasveer Singh-coached team would like to win a trophy and a win against a strong U Mumba side would be a statement for it.
