PKL 10 Eliminator 1: Players to watch out for in Dabang Delhi vs Patna Pirates match

These star players’ performances will decide the fate of their teams.
The league stage matches for the Pro Kabaddi League‘s tenth season (PKL 10) have been completed. Hyderabad will host the playoffs after Panchkula hosted this season’s final leg. The league stage saw many brilliant performances from the players and a few from Dabang Delhi and Patna Pirates as well. Both former champions will be gunning for another title and the players who will be key to the success are as follows.
Patna Pirates
Sachin Tanwar
Sachin Tanwar’s growth has been the league’s story so far. Coming into the league in 2017 as an 18-year-old, the Right Raider has grown from strength to strength. This season saw him take over the responsibility of captaincy as well and he ensured the three-time champions qualified for the playoffs for the record seventh time. He has been their lead Raider this season scoring 157 points with seven super 10s. Sachin scored Super 10s in both the games against Delhi this season and will again be looking to score one more Super 10.
Krishan Dhull
The Patna Pirates‘ right-corner specialist, Krishan Dhull, has been the team’s standout defender this season for the three-time champions. With 73 points in 22 games, he is second on the list among the most tackle points only behind Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyanneh. While Krishan has dominated most of the teams, his performance in both outings against Dabang Delhi, wasn’t up to the mark. Knowing the standards he set for himself, he would like to perform well.
Dabang Delhi KC
Ashu Malik
Ashu Malik has been one of the Raiders of the season. After Naveen Kumar was ruled out, the 23-year-old took the sole responsibility for Raiding and has been in outstanding form. He has been leading the charts with 216 successful raids and 37 of those were do-or-die raids. He will be crucial for Dabang Delhi once more against Patna Pirates likewise he did in the league stages as he scored 24 points in two games in the league stage.
Yogesh Dahiya
Yogesh Dahiya of Dabang Delhi appears to have a great future and the greats are evaluated based on players performing on the big stage. The right-corner defender, who has scored 70 points in 22 games in the league stage has that opportunity to do it in the playoffs. His matchup with Sachin, the main raider for the Patna Pirates, could be one of the game’s deciding elements. If Yogesh could get another High-5, then Dabang Delhi could be playing in the semis.
