Bengal Warriorz vs Patna Pirates: All time Head-to-Head record in Pro Kabaddi
Patna Pirates have the upper hand against Bengal Warriorz in Pro Kabaddi.
It is yet another weekend in season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League and it starts with a battle of heavyweights. Two former champions Bengal Warriorz and Patna Pirates will cross paths against each other to get a win as the tournament moves into the mid-phase where the changes could happen slowly yet steadily.
Patna Pirates have once again proven that they are the masters of talent scouts in Pro Kabaddi League as they have unearthed two talented youngsters on the raiding front and they have been taking the three-time champions to back-to-back wins in PKL 11. The young raiders have gelled well with two strong defensive corners in Shubham Shinde and Ankit to trouble their opponents.
Bengal Warriorz too have quality corner defenders but inconsistency they have marred their Pro Kabaddi League journey so far. They have been able to put two wins together and more than the results the form of some senior players will be the biggest worrying factor for the season seven champions.

He would want to show his class and support the likes of Nitin Kumar and what better to do it against Patna Pirates, who has been in top-notch form. The Pirates will have the psychological edge over the Warriorz as they have dominated the men in blue in the 10-year history of the Pro Kabaddi League. In the first meeting of these two teams in PKL 11, Patna defeated Bengal by a big margin.
In the first-ever Pro Kabaddi League match between these two sides, it was the Bengal Warriorz who triumphed over the Pirates with a 30-28 scoreline. The Pirates struck back in the return fixture winning it comfortably and also earning them a spot in the semifinals.
The domination continued in the next three Pro Kabaddi League seasons as Patna won five of the six matches played with one ending in a tie. It was in season five when Bengal broke the streak thanks to Maninder Singh, who joined the men in blue that season. His 13 points helped Bengal beat Patna and move into the playoffs.
It was again these two teams that battled it out against each other for a place in the finals of Pro Kabaddi League season five. While Maninder yet again put in a splendid performance with 17 points, it was not enough to overhaul Pardeep Narwal’s 23 points as the Pirates made it to their third consecutive finals and eventually went on to win it.
The 2018 edition was no different as Patna continued their domination winning two and losing one, which included a massive 20-point win. The Warriorz were leaking points in the defense and they strengthened it ahead of season seven with the additions of Jeeva Kumar, Esmail Nabibhaksh, Rinku Narwal, and Baldev Singh.
They were not only successful in beating the Patna Pirates comfortably but went on to lift their maiden Pro Kabaddi League title. Patna struck back next season winning both matches but it has been a tough contest in the last two seasons as both teams have won two matches each. The Sunday encounter is important for both teams as a win here could help deal with the mid-table crisis.
