PKL: Pawan Sehrawat’s top five Lion Jumps in Pro Kabaddi League history
With 1281 points, Pawan Sehrawat is third in the list of most raid points in PKL history.
Pawan Sehrawat, fondly known to fans as the “Hi-Flyer,” is one of the biggest names in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). His trademark, the ‘lion jump’, his stellar move of leaping over defenders and escaping with incredible precision and flair earned him the accolade.
Pawan has consistently proven himself to be a match-winner, ranked third on the all-time leaderboard with 1281 raid points. Pawan led the Bengaluru Bulls to the PKL title in Season 6, where he was also named the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).

He finished as the top raid point scorer in three consecutive seasons (6, 7, and 8) and holds the record for the most raid points in a single match—an astounding 39 points.

5. Bengaluru Bulls vs Bengal Warriorz (PKL 8)
Pawan Sehrawat executed one of his iconic ‘lion jumps’ in match 67 of the PKL 8 against Bengal Warriorz. With Ran Singh, V Thangadurai and two other defenders on the court, Pawan leaped over Ran to finish his stellar move. Although Bengaluru lost the match 39-40 to Bengal, Pawar scored a Super 10 to end his day.
4. Bengaluru Bulls vs Jaipur Pink Panthers (PKL 8)
Pawan Sehrawat’s fourth-best lion jump came in the same season, earlier in match 37 against Jaipur Pink Panthers. In an epic contest, which the Bulls won 38-31, Pawan scored 13 points with one particular raid standing out as he leaped over Dharmaraj Cheralathan (now the coach of Tamil Thalaivas in PKL 11) leaving him on the floor.

3. U Mumba vs Telugu Titans (PKL 10)
Third on the list is Pawan Sehrawat’s stellar lion jump last season in the 45-45 draw against U Mumba. Pawan was caught between Sombir, M Gokulakannan and two other defenders, but he brilliantly jumped over Sombir, although Gokulakannan tried to pull him down, he completed the raid ending with 14 points in the game.
2. Bengaluru Bulls vs Haryana Steelers (PKL 7)
One of Pawan Sehrawat’s most memorable lion jump was against Haryana Steelers in match 36 of PKL 7. After being tackled trying a ‘dubki’ in his previous raid, Pawan came all guns blazing against the Haryana Steelers, he made a quick leap over the defenders and brought in two points. Although the match resulted in a narrow 30-33 loss for the Bulls, Pawan contributed five points.

1. Bengaluru Bulls vs Patna Pirates (PKL 6)
This has to be the best lion jump by the Hi-flyer Pawan Sehrawat. Facing a perfectly timed tackle by Patna Pirates’ Ravinder Kumar, Sehrawat leaped over his shoulders almost six feet in the air the defender in an incredible ‘frog jump’, landing gracefully. Pawan ended the night with 12 points as the Bulls won 43-41.
