PKL 11: Key battles to watch out for in match 24, Bengaluru Bulls vs Dabang Delhi

Bengaluru Bulls are coming into the game following their fourth consecutive defeat in PKL 11.

Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi are set to face each other in the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) clash on 29 October 2024 at the GMCB Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli in Hyderabad. Both teams are struggling to find rhythms and will be looking to secure a win to give their fans some reason to be happy.

Bengaluru Bulls have started the 2024-25 season of the PKL on a horrible note. The outfit has lost all four of its matches so far and has one point on the board. Despite having a player like Pardeep Narwal in the lineup, the side cannot deliver a decent performance.

As for Dabang Delhi, the start of the PKL 11 season has been a bag of mixed emotions. In the first four matches, the side won and lost two matches. With players like Naveen Kumar and Ashu Malik on the roster, the expectations for the outfit are high. 

As the crucial fixture between Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi approaches close, here is a look at the three key battles that can be crucial to the outcome:

Pardeep Narwal vs Yogesh

Pardeep Narwal is regarded as the greatest Kabaddi player to grace the Pro Kabaddi League. The “Dubki King” is known for his intense raiding and electric reflexes. His past performances have earned him the moniker “Record Breaker”. He holds the record for scoring the most points in the history of the league and continues to be a massive threat.

It will be interesting to see how Yogesh, last season’s winner of the Emerging Player of the Season award, stands to Pardeep Narwal’s challenge in PKL 11. The defender has made only six successful tackles in four matches and must improve to silence the “Dubki King”. 

Nitin Rawal vs Ashu Malik

Nitin Rawal is enjoying a good start to the PKL 11 for the Bengaluru Bulls. The defender is currently the player with the highest number of successful tackles in the lineup. He has made nine tackles in four matches and looks sharp.

His task would be to try and stop Ashu Malik from scoring points. The raider is in form and scored a Super 10 in three out of the four PKL 11 clashes so far. He has 41 points in four outings and looks hungry to score more in order to cover for skipper Naveen Kumar who is underperforming.

Saurabh Nandal vs Vinay

Saurabh Nandal is one of the few players who have been a positive sight for the Bengaluru Bulls in a difficult start to the PKL 11 season. The defender has nine successful tackles in four matches. His task would be to help the defensive department neutralise Dabang Delhi’s attacking waves.

Vinay emerged as a good performer in Dabang Delhi’s defeat to Haryana Steelers on 28 October 2024. He scored eight points after Naveen Kumar picked up a knock in the fixture. It will be interesting to see if he makes the Starting 7 and carries his form into the upcoming game.
