PKL 11: Key battles to watch out for in Match 85, Patna Pirates vs Bengaluru Bulls

Can Bengaluru Bulls’ defence restrict the young raiding force of Patna Pirates to break their losing streak in PKL 11?

Patna Pirates will face Pardeep Narwal’s Bengaluru Bulls in match 85 of the Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) to kick off this blockbuster weekend on Saturday. The last time these two teams went against each other, the Pirates crushed the Bulls by 54-31 where Devank and Ayan scored their super-10s and were in excellent rhythm.

On the other hand, none of the players from Bengaluru Bulls were able to contribute a good score for their team. Once again two young raiders from Patna Pirates will be against their idol, Pardeep Narwal at Noida Indoor Stadium.

Devank Dalal vs Nitin Rawal

Devank has been in an invincible form this season. He is the top raid-point scorer with 164 points with 9 Super 10s in 13 outings in PKL 11. The best performance came against the Tamil Thalaivas where he scored 25 points in one match and gave a clear statement of his arrival. Recently, he has scored 4 consecutive Super 10s and is looking unstoppable. If the Bulls want to defeat the Pirates he has to be restricted in all possibilities.

Looking at the Bengaluru Bulls‘ corner, Nitin Rawal seems like the best option for the Bulls who can keep a check on Devank. Rawal has looked like the best player from the Bulls this season. He has been brilliant in the defence and has scored consistent points in all the matches.

Rawal has 49 tackle points in 14 matches in PKL 11 and is the best defender this season with the most tackle points. This is going to be the battle of the best and whoever gets the better of their opponent will make a big impact in this match.

Ayan Lohchab vs Arulnanthababu

Ayan Lohchab has just been the raider that the Patna Pirates needed after Devank. He is the best-supporting raider in this season and has supported Devank splendidly. Pardeep Narwal vs Ankit Jaglan

Pardeep Narwal has not been in the form this season that we are habitual of seeing but he can make a big impact in big matches.
