On Pawan Sehrawat’s stellar performance
Led by captain Pawan Sehrawat, who scored 12 points against Puneri, and with Vijay Malik’s impressive 13-point performance, the Titans have moved up to the second position on the points table.
“I was never worried about the offence because I have Pawan Sehrawat in my team,” said coach Krishan Kumar Hooda.
On Telugu Titan’s defence and their potential
The match saw a dominant display from the raiders, with Puneri Paltan’s Pankaj Mohite earning the first Super Raid of the game, followed by a Super Tackle from Mohit Goyat.
“Our defence can do so much better. This is not even 30-40 percent of what they are capable of, I have been saying this from the start, the defence can do so much better in the coming matches. They have stopped players like Pardeep, and Jai Bhagwan, and they can do much more” said Pawan Sehrawat.
On captain Aslam Inamdar’s injury
Despite an early ALL-OUT inflicted on Telugu Titans, Pawan Sehrawat’s Super 10 (his sixth of the season) brought them back into the game. The score was tied 20-20 at halftime.
“Aslam is injured, we don’t know complete details about it right now. He did not have it before, he got it in this match itself, that is all I can say right now,” said Puneri Paltan coach BC Ramesh.
On playing Dabang Delhi next in PKL 11
The second half was a tight contest, with both teams exchanging leads. A late ALL OUT on the Titans brought Puneri Paltan close, but a crucial tackle by defender Ajit Pawar sealed the victory for the Titans, ensuring their one-point win. They will now go on to face Dabang Delhi next in PKL 11.
“We are playing all the matches to win. Delhi is a good team and Ashu Malik is in terrific form, but we will come prepared, ” concluded the coach.
