On Sachin Tanwar’s absence from PKL 11

Despite trailing at halftime, Tamil Thalaivas turned the game on its head, thanks to the brilliant performances of Masanamuthu and Moein Shafagi, who made the most of their opportunities. Thalaivas were however without captain Sachin Tanwar who was the most expensive player of PKL 11.

“Sachin was not in good form, he was bringing on fewer points, so I have decided to give him some rest. He will be back from the next to next match, ” said Tamil Thalaivas coach.

On Narender Kandola’s injury

The first half of this PKL 11 clash saw the UP Yoddhas take control, with Gagan Gowda’s stellar raids, including a Super Tackle and an ALL OUT, giving the hosts a 17-12 lead. The Tamil Thalaivas struggled, especially after their star raider Narender Kandola was substituted due to injury.

“It’s a small injury, so I had to substitute him. He will be back for the next to next match for sure,” added Tamil Thalaivas coach.

However, the second half marked a stunning turnaround. Substitute Masanamuthu executed a sensational Super Raid, taking out three defenders and inflicting an ALL OUT on the UP Yoddhas. He was ably supported by Iranian all-rounder Moein Shafagi, who inflicted two more ALL OUTs, sealing the victory.

UP Yoddhas will now go on to face Jaipur Pink Panthers next in PKL 11.

“Jaipur Pink Panthers are a good team. Even last time when we faced them, we came up with a plan but they still won. So this time also we will come up with a plan and see what happens on the mat, ” said UP Yoddhas coach.
