Defending champions Haryana Steelers will aim to build an even stronger squad for the PKL 12.

Haryana Steelers clinched the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 trophy. As the saying goes, ” With more power comes more responsibility.” In the upcoming season, Manpreet Singh’s Steelers will have the responsibility to defend the PKL title for their millions of fans.

In PKL 11, Haryana Steelers had a perfectly balanced side, which got them their first-ever PKL title by defeating the three-time PKL champions, Patna Pirates.

Although the season is a few months ahead, the team management knows that the auction is an extremely crucial part of any season, where the team’s fate might be decided. As we are nearing the PKL 12 auction, the Steelers would already have their plans laid out for the big day. Difficult decisions to be made

Haryana Steelers had ticked almost all their boxes in the PKL 11. Mohammadreza Shadloui, Sanjay Dhull, and Rahul Sethpal were the backbone of their defence, whereas Vinay Tevathia and Shivam Patare aced their performances in the raids.

They have a complete team, but according to the rules, only 6 of their previous squad can be retained, whereas the others have to be released. So, which players might Haryana Steelers release ahead of the PKL 12 auction?

Vishal Tate, Naveen Rawal might be a few of the big names

Haryana Steelers had a power-packed squad in the previous season. However, as per the league’s requirement, they will have to bring some players back to the auction pool. The Steelers had an almost impenetrable defence in PKL 11. Hence, they would not want to make any unnecessary changes there. However, they would like to improve their raiding department.

Vishal Tate, Naveen Rawal, and Jaya Surya were some of the raiders who failed to impress as much as was expected of them. However, a couple of them had a decent season; they might not be retained and could be released into the auction pool ahead of the PKL 12 auction.
