India and Chinese Taipei secured their place in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 semi-finals.

The competition is intensifying in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 as the league stage draws near its conclusion. Every day now brings more drama, excitement, and high-intensity action as teams battle it out to make it to the semi-finals.

A total of 11 teams are participating in this edition, divided into two groups. Group A consists of five teams, while Group B has six teams. According to the tournament format, the top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs and move one step closer to lifting the coveted trophy.

Now, two teams in Group A are competing for a place in the semi-finals. The Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team continues to dominate the group, sitting comfortably at the top with 8 points. They have won all their league stage matches and qualified for the semi-finals as the only unbeaten team from the group.

Bangladesh holds the second position with 4 points and will need just one win in their final group game to secure their place in the last four.

Right behind them at third place is Thailand, also with 4 points, and their upcoming clash against Bangladesh will be a virtual knockout; whoever wins will qualify for the semi-finals.

Uganda stands in fourth position with 2 points, while Germany remains at the bottom with 0 points. Both Uganda and Germany have been eliminated from the tournament and are out of the race for the semi-finals.

Group B Points Table

Group B consists of six competitive teams, and after today’s results, the standings have taken an exciting turn. Chinese Taipei, after their impressive win today, have climbed two positions to reach the top of the table with 8 points.

They remain unbeaten in the tournament and have officially secured their place in the semi-finals, emerging as one of the strongest contenders for the title. Iran held the second position with 6 points, but despite being in the top two, they still need one more win to confirm their semi-final berth.

Right behind them in third place is Nepal, also with 6 points, and their upcoming clash against Iran is expected to be a virtual knockout; both teams will be fighting for a direct ticket to the semi-finals.

Kenya, after registering their first win today, have moved up to the fourth position with 2 points. Zanzibar, also with 2 points, sits in the fifth spot, while Poland remains at the bottom with 0 points.

All three of these teams are now eliminated from the race to the semi-finals and will play only for pride in their remaining matches.
