Yuva All Stars Championship 2025: Yoddhas retain top spot in Pool B; Chandigarh Chargers, Sonipat Spartans make top three after day 4

The Kurukshetra Warriors have slipped to the bottom after defeat on Day at Yuva All Stars Championship.

The fourth day of the Yuva All Stars Championship 2025 witnessed three high-scoring one-sided encounters at the Vandana Kataria Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

In the day’s first match, Yuva Yoddhas beat Sonipat Spartans 51-27 in a one-sided game, riding on the back of Shivam Singh’s 15 raid points (10 touch points and five bonus points). Ankit Saharwa was the best raider for Sonipat with nine raid points. Meanwhile, Aman bagged eight tackle points for the Spartans.

The Sonipat Spartans were off to a flying start, inflicting an all-out on the Yuva Yoddhas in the fifth minute. They had a 10-4 lead, but the Yoddhas regrouped and came closer to the Spartans. The half-time score read 19-17 in favour of the Spartans.

In the first few minutes of the second half, Yuva Yoddhas took the lead and extended it to six points, inflicting an all-out in the seventh minute. The Yoddhas then got the Sonipat Spartans all-out another couple of times within five minutes to register a comfortable victory by 24 points.

Chandigarh Chargers registered a 39-24 victory over Kurukshetra Warriors in the second match of Day 4. Rahul Jaglan starred with an all-round performance with eight points, including five raid points and three tackle points. Rohit Nandal earned six tackle points and Ankit Dahiya bagged five tackle points for the Warriors.

Chetan Sahu was the star player in the match with 13 raid points, while Virender Singh and Ankit Dhull earned six points apiece on Sunday. Both sides were equally strong and looked in good shape, just before the Chargers inflicted an all-out on the Warriors to take a seven-point lead.

Chandigarh Chargers continued to dominate, with the half-time score reading 10-20. They inflicted another all-out and kept the opponent’s raiders at bay to take a 17-point lead with a few minutes on the clock. In the last four minutes, the Warriors earned four points, but to no avail, and they ended up on the losing side.

Yuva Yoddhas have retained the top spot in Pool B with 13 points, while Chandigarh Chargers are second in the standings with seven points. Sonipat Spartans are placed third with seven points and a score difference of -7. Following a loss against the Chargers, the Kurukshetra Warriors have slipped to the bottom in the points table.

In the third match of the day, Yuva Paltan suffered a 25-40 defeat against the mighty Palani Tuskers. Ashish Padale earned eight raid points for Paltan, while Harish Kamatchi bagged seven points for the Tuskers. The match was neck-to-neck with both teams picking up points in turns, before S Stanly Packiaraj P Samuel’s super raid handed three points. They also got the Yuva Paltan all-out, adding a few more points to their scoreboard.

The score was 10-17 in favour of Palani Tuskers at half-time. The Tuskers continued their fine run in the match and inflicted two more all-outs on Yuva Paltan to register a 15-point victory.

Warriorz K.C stunned Jaipur Pink Clubs in the most exciting encounter of the day. The two teams were evenly matched in every moment of the game, with the half-time scoring reading 17-18 in favour of the Warrioz. The Pink Clubs inflicted an all-out to take a four-point lead but conceded the lead to their opponent when they got all-out.

The scores were levelled again at 31-31 with six minutes remaining. The Warriorz added points to their tally but denied Jaipur a few crucial points to hold on to the lead. They inflicted another all-out on the Pink Cubs in the final moments to snatch a 42-35 victory.

Anil was the star performance for Jaipur with 12 points, while Punit Kumar led Warriorz K.C.’s attack with 13 raid points. Despite a loss, Jaipur Pink Cubs have retained the first position in the standings, while Palani Tuskers and Warriorz K.C. are second and third with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
