Two overseas players included in Bangladesh squad for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers
Bangladesh announced a 25-member squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers campaign. Interestingly, two overseas players – Jamal Bhuyan and Tariq Kazi are part of the roster. Kazi has previously played for the Finland U-19 team and currently plies trade for Bashundhara Kings. Meanwhile, Denmark-born Bhuyan recently appeared for Mohammedan SC in the I-League 2020-21 season.

AIFF hand short-term contract extension to India boss Igor Stimac
Indian football team head coach Igor Stimac received a boost ahead of his side’s World Cup Qualifying campaign in Doha. The AIFF Technical Committee unanimously decided to extend the Croatian tactician’s contract till September 2021. The Committee will meet again in September to discuss the future pathway forward.
Gokulam Kerala retain Afghan midfielder Sharif Mukhammad
Gokulam Kerala have extended the contract of foreign player Sharif Mukhammad for the upcoming season. The Afghan national midfielder played a pivotal role for the Malabarians’ previous season to help the club lift its maiden I-League title.
Kerala Blasters sign Harmanjot Khabra on multi-year deal
Khel Now can confirm can Harmanjot Khabra has joined Kerala Blasters on a multi-year deal after leaving Bengaluru FC. Khabra won the Indian Super League title with Bengaluru FC after joining them in 2017 from Chennaiyin FC.
