Both managers agreed with the referee's decision to dismiss the Blues' shot-stopper in the first half.
In a 7-goal thriller, FC Goa beat 10-men Bengaluru FC 4-3 in the Indian Super League match played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, Goa on Wednesday.
Ferran Corominas delighted the home crowd by scoring a magnificent hat-trick, while Manuel Lanzarote was the other goalscorer. As for Bengaluru, Miku netted a brace and Erik Paartalu was the other scorer. Bengaluru FC goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was sent off.
Goa boss Sergio Lobera was very happy after getting the three points and said, “I am very happy with the three points specially because it was against an opponent that I had highlighted in the last press conference saying it was very strong, but this isn’t the end of it. We need to improve on our mistakes we cant cloud our judgement on what we are trying to achieve. These three points are just part of the journey that we keep going further into," he reflected
Lobera made his point clear when he was asked about Ferran Corominas’ importance on the field. “ Corominas is a great player. Today, he gave the example of what a fine player he really is, what a fine goalscorer he is. But, I don’t want to highlight individual performances of every player because I don’t highlight individual mistakes. We win and lose as a team. The credit goes to the entire team because they created the opportunities and scored as well.”
The Spaniard was delighted to see the fans happy and content following the result. “I felt something special in the stadium. I felt an attachment to the fans and the entire atmosphere and together I hope we can achieve something special this season," he asserted.

Gurpreet Red Card Incident
BFC coach Albert Roca said his team weren’t expecting such a game. He felt they were punished on every wrong move by FC Goa. “I didn’t expect this kind of game for sure, but it happens in football."
Talking on the red card that saw goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu sent off Roca said, “The red card was the right decision, I think it was a shame because Manuel provoked that kind of action. However, my goalkeeper cannot react like this. The goalkeeper is young and a good keeper but he has to control his anger. He put us in big trouble today, I don’t want to blame him alone, but we made a lot of mistakes and we were punished for them."
Reflecting on the game as a whole the former Barcelona man continued, "I said that this was a crazy game, the first thing we have to do is be a bit more calm because when we are calm we can perform much better and we came back and did a very good job."
