Bengaluru FC to kick off ISL campaign against Chennaiyin FC on 30th September
The schedule for the second half of the season which resumes in the last week of January will be announced at a later date.
Bengaluru FC will open their ISL 2018-19 campaign with a repeat of last year’s final when they take on defending champions, Chennaiyin FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, on Sunday, September 30.
The schedule for the first phase of the League, which was announced on Saturday, will see Bengaluru play eleven games till the middle of December, post which the competition will take a break as India prepares for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup to be held in the UAE in January. During the first phase, the Blues will play six home games while travelling away five times.
After the opening game against Chennaiyin, Bengaluru will host Jamshedpur FC (Oct 7) before travelling to FC Pune City (Oct 22) post the first FIFA International break. A home game against ATK (Oct 31) a week later will be followed by back-to-back away games against Kerala Blasters (Nov 5) and FC Goa (Nov 22) around the second FIFA International break.

Delhi Dynamos (Nov 26) and Pune (Nov 30) will visit the Fortress for successive home games, before the Blues travel to NorthEast United (Dec 5) in the first week of December. After a home game against Mumbai City (Dec 9) and an away clash against ATK (Dec 13), the Blues will go into the mid-season break.

The South Indian outfit will be facing Turkmenistan side Altyn Asyr for the second leg of their AFC Cup Inter-Zone semifinal on 29th August 2018. The Blues currently are behind their opponents via a 3-2 aggregate scoreline, and will be aiming to make amends in the away fixture.
