5. Jose Mourinho still has the support of the dressing room

Much was made about Jose Mourinho’s future at Manchester United prior to the game against Newcastle a few weeks ago. It was assumed that the Portuguese tactician had lost his dressing room and that it was just a matter of time till he was sacked by the club. However, Manchester United, in recent league games have shown a resilience and a never say die attitude that is so typical of the great old club that is indicative of the fact that the players still have the hunger and the desire to play for the club and its manager.

4. Manchester City are still title favourites

Last season, Manchester City blew away all their competition to steamroll their way to the Premier League title by a record 19 points. This season, the Cityzens are looking at a much closer title race, with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea also gunning for top spot. However, if they keep putting in performances as they did against Southampton, where they blew them away by six goals to one, Pep Guardiola could be looking at a second Premier League title.

3. Wilfred Zaha is the EPL’s most underrated player

When Zaha was sent back to Crystal Palace after a failed stint at Manchester United, it looked to all the world that he would be yet another young English prospect that had fallen by the wayside. However, to his credit the winger picked himself up and was soon Palace’s most important player. Although his side lost their game against Chelsea, Zaha stood out as he tormented the Chelsea back line all game long, not giving them a moment’s rest.

2. Liverpool have a grit that they lacked last season

Ever since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins at Liverpool, the club has played intense, attacking football that often blew their opposition away. However, the side also dropped valuable points in games that they should have been winning.

Liverpool will have a hard time beating Manchester City to the title, but with their newfound vigour, we could be in for an enticing title race.

Eden Hazard has arguably been the best player in the EPL this season, terrorizing opposition defences with his quick sharp movement and his deathly accuracy in front of goal. The Belgian has come off the bench in his last two games as he is nursing an injury. In the game against Crystal Palace, it only took Hazard 91 seconds to make his mark on the game by assisting Alvaro Morata for his second goal of the game.

Chelsea are one of three unbeaten sides in the league and will hope to be challenging for the title come the end of the season and Eden Hazard and his form will be very crucial to this.
