DSA to hold trials for Delhi state team

The Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) will hold open selection trials/coaching camp to select players for the Delhi state football team to participate in the 71st National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2016-17 ( North Zone Leg) scheduled to be held at Sunder Nagar in Himachal Pradesh from 27th December to 1 Jan 2017.
Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and hosts Himachal Pradesh are the teams that will take part in the North Zone. The teams have been divided in two groups of four teams each. Top two teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals. All the participating teams have to submit a list of 30 players to All India Football Federation ( AIFF ) for ":CRS" ( Central Regisration System ) and CMS ( Competition Management System by 15 December.
The special feature of this year's championship will be that each team will feature five players under the age of 21. Meanwhile the DSA has constituted a selection committee comprising N. K. Bhatia as Chairman and Magan Singh Patwal as Convener. The headcoach of the camp will be Abhijoy Basu AFC 'A' licence holder and be assisted by 'C' licence holder Ravi Rana.

Interested probables should reach positively at the venue along with a fitness certificate and three passport size photographs for registration.
