Analysis: India Under-17 world Cup squad impress on exposure tours

The blue Colts have been in Europe in preparation for the upcoming Under-17 FIFA World Cup..
The India Under-16 side has been in Europe over the past few months playing a series of friendlies against other national teams and club sides in the region in preparation for the upcoming Under-17 FIFA World Cup amongst other tournaments. The team played a total of 17 games winning nine of them while there were four draws and four losses. Importantly, there were seven clean sheets. Some of the more impressive wins included the 1-0 victory over Luxemburg, the 7-0 thrashing of Strommen, the 2-1 success over TSG Hoffenheim and the 5-0 dismantling of Sportfreunde Siegen. Amongst the goal scorers Komal Thatal with nine and Aman Chetri with seven were the standouts. However, there were other contributtors with Sanjeev scoring five while Aniket and Amarjit Singh bagged four goals each. Here is the full list of scorers:

Tactical Analysis: India U-17 World Cup squad Head Coach Nicloi Adam mostly fielded his team in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation. Adam made sure his team moves forward together in a quick passing style. In most of the matches wingers and full-backs played important roles in the team's wins throughout the tour and earlier as well.

With the German tour concluded the squad has now returned home ahead of the AFC Under-16 Championship for which India qualified on merit to be staged in Goa.India U-16 squad just finished second behind Iran in the qualifiers held in Iran after thrashing Bahrain 5-0 and Lebanon 6-0.
After AFC U-16 championship there is possibility that team will participate in the BRICS tournament that will feature teams from Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa before beginning their tour of the South American nation.
