Antonio Iriondo: We want to make our fans happy with our gameplay
The Jamshedpur FC head coach also believes his team is ready for the ISL 2019-20 season.
Ahead of his side's league opener on Tuesday against Odisha FC, Jamshepdur FC head coach Antonio Iriondo, accompanied by forward CK Vineeth, turned up for the pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon.
Antonio Iriondo commended the work-rate of his players during pre-season and mentioned that the commitment of the players "exceeded his expectations."
The 65-year-old tactician handled a very incremental approach when it came to answering about the team's fortunes considering not thinking too long-term.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]"The season is long and we have to keep improving everyday, match-by-match, session-by-session during training. We must also learn from the results that we gather," Antonio Iriondo said.
Speaking about Tuesday's opener, Antonio Iriondo quipped, "We want to show our style of play on the pitch and be reactive to the situation. We would want to keep more possession of the ball during the 90 minutes. It is good to win. but most importantly we want to be deserved winners."
"It is important as to how the players communicate with each other on the pitch and work together," the Spaniard added.
Thoughts On Jamshedpur FC Squad
The coach believes he has the right set of players to carry the team forward under the able guidance of captain Tiri, Antonio Iriondo backed his claims by saying, "The squad is ready. We have been working very hard for the past two months, during the pre-season and some players do have some pain. But, everyone is ready for the new season."
Having signed recently from Chennaiyin FC, CK Vineeth is waiting eagerly to hit the pitch running as he said, "I'm happy to come to Jamshedpur. The facilities on offer here are arguably the best in the country and everything about football in Jamshedpur is good. "

Vineeth reiterated the stance of his coach by saying, "I'm excited to play for the Jamshedpur crowd and to hear them cheer for us. I hope that they keep supporting us irrespective of the results."
