Rohan Bopanna reached the semifinals of the 2024 French Open alongside Matthew Ebden.
The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has officially announced that Rohan Bopanna will partner with N. Sriram Balaji for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Bopanna is currently fourth in the ATP doubles rankings. Thus, he qualified for Paris based on his ranking. However, he had to choose between Yuki Bhambri and N. Sriram Balaji as his partner in the men’s doubles event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Balaji also performed well at the 2024 French Open, where he reached the third round of the competition alongside Mexico’s Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela. However, Bopanna and Matthew Ebden halted their campaign in the third round, with a 6-7, 6-2, 7-6 win.
It was later announced that Bopanna would choose Balaji as his partner for the 2024 Olympics. Thus, after the final rankings before the 2024 Olympics were released, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) also made the official announcement of Bopanna and Balaji’s participation.

Bopanna last played at the 2024 French Open alongside Matthew Ebden, where he was eliminated in the semifinals by the Italian duo of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.
