The 2024 Olympics in Paris is likely to be lit by many star footballers.

There won’t be any tranquillity in the summer this year. In addition to the men’s European Championship, to be held in Germany, the Copa America will concurrently be held in the United States.

The date of both these major international competition finals is July 15. Then nine days later, the Olympic men’s football competition will also begin in France, so the summer calendar for football lovers is filled brilliantly. However, this leaves very little time in between contests, especially for athletes who want to compete even at the Paris Olympics 2024 as well.

Which star players could play in the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024?

One of those players who seems to have been around forever is Christian Pulisic. Although he is now 25 years old and considered a “wildcard”, the United States men’s national soccer who take the Olympics very seriously are likely to use his services for the better of the nation. Pulisic is an absolute must-have if they hope to win a gold medal in Paris.

Without a doubt, Mohamed Salah is one of the best things that has happened to Egypt since the construction of the Suez Canal. Salah alone made 28 goal contributions for Liverpool in the Premier League. He is undoubtedly rubbing his hands together at the prospect of taking home the gold medal after his nation qualified for the 2024 Olympics.

We wanted to draw attention to the man who may succeed Son Heung-Min, even if he is still the golden kid, Lee Kang-Inn might play for South Korea at the Olympics. Before moving to Paris Saint-Germain from Mallorca last summer, it’s understandable if you didn’t know who Kang-Inn was. But ever since that significant move, he’s emerged as South Korea’s next big thing in football.

Lionel Messi will not play at the 2024 Olympics, it’s confirmed. Messi, however, will be seen defending the Copa America title for his nation, Argentina national football team, in two weeks time. This presents Fiorentina’s Lucas Beltran an opportunity to step up and take centre stage. Beltran netted six goals and three assists in the 2023-24 Serie A season.

This is Norway’s third-ever representation in the Olympics. They are more than likely to use their powerhouse, Erling Haaland. Haaland’s nation is not in the Euro 2024. Even the 2024-25 Premier League season is not starting 17 August. Pep Guardiola and Manchester City shouldn’t be hesitant to let their star shine in Paris in the meantime.

Endrick could have been a star for Brazil, the defending champions, at the Paris Olympics but his nation failed to qualify for the first time since 2004. The player shouldn’t be bothered much by it because he is still 17 and will have many chances in the coming years. There are still a tonne of elite athletes who may compete in 2024 such as Mykhaylo Mudryk (Ukraine), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) and Lamine Yamal (Spain).
