ISSF World Cup Cairo 2024: Schedule, fixtures, results, India squad and live streaming details

This will be the first Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun World Cup of the season.

The ISSF World Cup is all set to kick off its 2024 season with the first leg scheduled in Cairo, Egypt, starting from January 26 and will continue till January 31. The event, being staged at the shooting range of the Egypt International Olympic City, will witness a total of 49-member contingent from India.

According to the rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), a maximum of five athletes in each event can enter an individual event. However, only three of those athletes can participate in the final, while the remaining two will compete for the ranking points (RPO).

The event will feature Paris Olympics 2024 quota holders like Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan, Arjun Babuta, Varun Tomar, Anish Bhanwala, Vijayveer Sidhu, Tilottama Sen, Akhil Sheoran, Shriyanka Sadangi, Anantjeet Singh Naruka, Raiza Dhillon, Rajeshwari Kumari, and Bhowneesh Mendiratta.

Besides these names, Anjum Moudgil and Mairaj Ahmad Khan are a few prominent names who will be competing at the Rifle/ Pistol /Shotgun World Cup in Cairo. However, Asian Games 2023 multiple medalists Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, and Esha Singh, and other quota places achievers like Swapnil Kusale, Sarabjot Singh, and Mehuli Ghosh are some notable absentees from the ISSF World Cup Cairo leg.

At the ISSF World Cup 2023, India (25) finished fourth in the overall medal tally, earning eight gold, five silver, and 12 bronze medals. China topped the medal table with an overall 43 medals, followed by the United States (20), and Hungary (17).

The live streaming of the ISSF World Cup Cairo 2024 will be available on the ISSF YouTube channel. However, the event won’t be available for live telecast on any TV channel in India.
