The second Grand Slam of the season, the French Open 2023, will take place from 28 May 2023 to 11 June 2023. Roland Garros 2023 will be the first time Rafael Nadal won't play in the tournament since his debut in 2005. The 14-time champion has pulled out of the tournament due to an injury.

Rafael Nadal and Iga Swiatek were the winners of the singles of the 2022 edition of the tournament, each pocketing 2000 points and 2.2 million euros. However, the total prize money for the tournament this year has witnessed a 12.3% increment, thus, rewarding the to-be singles winners with 2.3 million euros.

When will French Open 2023 begin?

The qualifiers of the Roland Garros 2023 begin on 23 May 2023, Tuesday, and will conclude on 26 May 2023, Friday. Saturday i.e. 27 May 2023, will be the Yannick Noah Day, the newly renamed Roland Garros charity day. The first round of the Grand Slam begins on 28 May 2023, Sunday.
