In the second set they started well and in no time raced to a 4-1 lead and then sealed a victory to move into the pre-quarterfinals round in men's doubles.
Earlier, the pair beat another unseeded Argentine opponents Guillermo Duran and Tomas Etcheverry in the opening round. They won 6-2, 6-7, 7-6 in a thrilling clash.

Similarly, N Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan also bowed out after opening round defeat. In the women's section, Ankita Raina from India took part in the qualifiers where she was beaten.
