Top five active men's singles players with most Grand Slam titles

Daniil Medvedev and Marin Cilic are tied in the fifth spot with one Grand Slam title each.
While tennis had several multiple-time Grand Slam champions before the 2000s, the game was primarily dominated by the Big 3 in the era after. Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer have won 66 men’s singles Grand Slam titles in their professional careers.
However, with the retirement of the two greatest players in history, the sport has opened up for younger players to showcase their skills and take the crown. Thus, in this article, we will take a look at the top five active men’s singles players with the most Grand Slam titles.
5. Daniil Medvedev, Marin Cilic: 1
The fans often overlook Marin Cilic‘s professional career; the former US Open champion has played six Grand Slam finals. He won the 2014 US Open, beating Japan’s Kei Nishikori in straight sets. However, he later lost to Roger Federer twice in Grand Slam finals, at the 2017 Wimbledon and the 2018 Australian Open.
Meanwhile, former ATP World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev has played six Grand Slam finals, winning only once. Medvedev enjoys playing on hard court, and his only Major triumph has come at Flushing Meadows in 2021.
Nevertheless, he has lost twice against Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal and once against Jannik Sinner in Grand Slam finals.

4. Stan Wawrinka: 3
Only the second player in the Big 3 era to win more than two Grand Slam titles, Stan Wawrinka is currently in the twilight phase of his professional career. The 40-year-old won his first Grand Slam title at the 2014 Australian Open after defeating Rafael Nadal.
He later won the French Open by recording an astounding victory over prime Novak Djokovic in 2015. His final Major title came at Flushing Meadows in 2016, where he beat Djokovic in four sets. Stan Wawrinka also reached his best career ranking of 3 in January 2014.
3. Jannik Sinner: 4

The current ATP World No. 2, Jannik Sinner, has become an indomitable force on the tour. Sinner has won four out of the last seven Grand Slams and has managed to perform exceptionally on the tour.
His first title came in Melbourne, where he crafted a stellar comeback win against Daniil Medvedev in 2024. He later defeated home hope Taylor Fritz to win the 2024 US Open before defending his title at the 2025 Australian Open.
Sinner later stunned arch-rival and two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, winning his fourth Major title. However, he later lost the US Open 2025 final to the Spaniard, along with his world No. 1 ranking.

He reached his first Major final at the 2022 US Open, where he defeated Norway’s Casper Ruud. He later won the Wimbledon Championships in 2023 after beating Novak Djokovic in a summit clash.
Alcaraz completed the Channel Slam in 2024, winning the French Open and defending his title at SW19. The Spaniard stunned four-time Grand Slam winner Jannik Sinner in a close five-set clash at Stade Roland Garros to win the 2025 French Open and win his fifth Major title.
The only Grand Slam final Alcaraz could not win is at the Wimbledeon 2025 where Sinner emerged victorious.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has won 24 men’s singles titles, the most in the history of the sport. He also tops the list, as he’s going strong on the ATP tour at the age of 38. Djokovic won his last Grand Slam title in 2023, when he defeated Russia’s Daniil Medvedev at Flushing Meadows.
Since then, he has reached a Grand Slam final only once, which happened at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.
He lost to Carlos Alcaraz at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in three sets before the three-hour mark. Nevertheless, the Serb is only the third men’s singles player to win 100 titles on the tour, behind Roger Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109).
