Only four more spots remain in ATP Finals 2024.
Daniil Medvedev has become the fourth men’s singles player to qualify for ATP Finals 2024. He will join Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev at the season ending championship. With the qualification of Medvedev, only four slots remain as the next set of players seek to collect points in the singles race.
The Russian will be featuring in the ATP Finals for the sixth consecutive season. He made his debut in 2019 and returned with defeat in all three matches. Medvedev bounced back by clinching the title undefeated the very next season. He only dropped two sets in his victorious campaign.
This time Medvedev will remain on the backfoot as he is yet to win a title in 2024. He had reached the finals of Australian Open, Indian Wells but lost to Sinner and Alcaraz respectively. Medvedev is also almost 1400 points behind Zverev in the singles race to ATP Finals 2024. He is currently taking a break from the tour due to shoulder issues.
Medvedev had earlier announced his withdrawal from the Erste Bank Open. He will be hoping to make a comeback at the end of this month ahead of Paris Masters.
