Alex de Minaur is the defending champion.

After the end of the Rio Open, the clay court season continues as the ATP Mexican Open 2025 comes next. The ATP 500 event, which will be played on the outdoor clay courts, will feature an exclusive list of some of the best players from the current generation.

Alexander Zverev enters the arena as the top seed, but his latest outings have been disappointing. After the Australian Open final loss, the German messed up an easy opportunity to triumph in Brazil. With Jannik Sinner banned for three months, it is Zverev’s golden chance to close the gap for the number one spot in the ATP Rankings.

Alex de Minaur has dominated the tournament in recent past and is the two-time defending champion. However, the Australian will not feature this year as he will be competing in Dubai instead. Taylor Fritz, who had a sensational 2024 is yet to deliver this season.
